It’s finally happening: Lady Gaga is set to appear on the cover of the March issue of US Vogue. Sources tell Just Jared that Gaga’s cover will be shot by Mario Testino later this month.
Gaga graced the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan in little more than some pieces of meat, and we’re guessing Anna will want her to look a bit more proper. (more…)

Angelina Jolie talks sex with Brad Pitt in the December issue of Vogue which hits newstands November 23.

The Oscar-winning actress admits that her most turned on state of mind is when her handsome partner interacts with their kids. She considers Pitt an awesome father even though when they met he had not yet started a family.

Illusion was one of the key trends to emerge at New York Fashion Week, which continues through Thursday. Strategic use of sheer fabric — here on sleeves, there on a neckline, overlay or skirt — gave the illusion of bareness without revealing too much. The look was naturally sexy, without being vulgar.

DALLAS — Ken Downing says the forecast calls for pantsuits, capes, fur, lace and, oh yes, feathers.
If women are skeptical that they will be wearing a frothy shirt of lace beneath a tailored pantsuit or shoes trimmed with feathers this fall, they shouldn’t be. Downing, luxury retailer Neiman Marcus’ fashion director, has been digesting designer offerings from New York to London to Paris to Milan to come up with a list of trends sure to get people running to the mall. Back-to-school shopping simply wasn’t as exciting this year, said Hilton Head Island High School student Jordan Haughton-James. The uniform policy that took effect at Beaufort County’s public high schools Monday limited her options. “We’d see something cute on a rack but then remember, ‘Oh, I can’t wear that,’ ” she said. “(Uniforms) make it a lot easier to decide what you’re going to wear in the morning, but it’s not as fun.” (more…)

A while back, a mini-movement took hold among teachers who felt that grading papers with purple ink would be less traumatic for students than red ink. They believed that the less traditional colour conveyed authority without appearing angry.
Such is the power of purple, the pigment produced from red and blue and the colour most often associated with royalty and nobility (in medieval times, purple dyes were most expensive). (more…)
